Hey Castle Rock,
Can you believe its almost Spring!? I mean, let’s be real, I think we accidentally skipped Winter. Well, March is right around the corner now and I truly believe this town is going to have a great year!
I’ve been asking myself lately, “what makes Castle Rock so amazing?” And besides the scenery and outdoors it really comes down to the people and local business owners who all support one another.
That’s why I want to spend this year highlighting some of the most AMAZING people and businesses that make Castle Rock so special.
*Please, if you know of anyone or any business that deserves recognition for helping to make our community so great, please reply to this email!

THE DIGEST
Help Castle Rock’s Bluebirds Thrive in 2026
The Colorado Bluebird Project is looking for citizen scientists to help hit their next big milestone! Since 2007, this local initiative has helped over 10,000 chicks fledge across Town, and now they need your help for the upcoming nesting season.
Whether you're a bird enthusiast or just looking for a way to give back to our local parks, this is a great way to support native species like bluebirds, wrens, and chickadees.
How to get involved:
Informational Open House: Wednesday, Feb. 4 | 7–8 p.m.
Where: Millhouse at Philip S. Miller Park
Commitment: Monitor nest boxes from April through August (on a rotating 2–3 week schedule).
Note: All new volunteers must attend the Open House plus one training session (Feb. 18 or Feb. 26).
🔗 Ready to volunteer? Contact Marcy Jones at 303-814-7456 or email her to register.
Local Water Update: High Reserves vs. Low Snowpack
Castle Rock Water reported on Feb. 17 that while Colorado snowpack is at record lows, our local reservoir storage is at an all-time high thanks to the new Reservoir 2.
The Catch: If dry conditions continue, outdoor water restrictions are likely this summer.
In the Loop: Council also formally urged the School Board to keep its headquarters in Downtown Castle Rock. 🔗 Check the stats: CRgov.com/Drought
🎸 Fitz and The Tantrums: Colorado Day 150!
Shake off the winter chill and mark your calendars for Saturday, Aug. 1. As part of Colorado’s 150th anniversary, the high-energy indie-pop band Fitz and The Tantrums will headline a massive celebration at the Philip S. Miller Park Amphitheater.
The Show: Expect hits like “HandClap” and “MoneyGrabber” under the summer stars.
Tickets: General Admission starts at $45. The full lineup for the 2026 Summer Concert Series drops in April.
Pro Tip: Season passes went on sale Wednesday, Feb. 4, offering a discount for loyal fans before the full schedule is even announced.
